Fully electric vehicles will help cut our carbon emissions.
Impress Print Services are delighted to announce that our first fully electric-powered van will be deployed for our London deliveries. The 100% fully battery powered van will replace an older vehicle delivering printed communications in the capital, just 15 miles from our Impress production facility in Hersham, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey.
We don’t stop there! We are also replacing one of our hybrid sales fleet vehicles for a 100% fully electric car so that our Account Manager, Richard, can run local journeys in and around London and the Home Counties with zero emissions.
Our business strategy incorporates management of our environmental impact and reducing the consequences of climate change. We think green in every aspect of our business and have introduced many positive environmental initiatives into our print processes, print technology and print solutions, deploying electric vehicles is our obvious next step.

“We are proud to be making the move to an all-electric fleet and that the fleet will be charged onsite by green energy. These are the first two vehicles, with more to follow. We will be adding a further electric mid-size van to our dispatch department early next year, giving us even more delivery capacity. We are keeping a close eye on the technology to improve driving distances between charges for the larger vehicles with heavy loads. The range is steadily increasing… it’s great to see the electric vehicle technology just getting better and better.”
It’s exciting to be one of the paper and print industry’s early adopters of electric vehicles, following closely behind Royal Mail who introduced electric vans into their fleet last year.
