Impress get Woolly Fantastic for Christmas Jumper Day

Impress staff supported Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day on Friday – we popped on our pullovers, donated and had a cracking day!

Christmas jumpers have become as much a part of the festive season as mince pies, turkey, carols and family get-togethers.  So when Account Manager, Pat, suggested that staff at Impress should join in the Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 12th December, we thought this would be a great idea to dress up in our favourite Christmas jumpers for a fun fundraising day.

To boost donations alongside the £2 for wearing a jumper, staff baked festive cakes to sell. From chocolate fairy cakes, to cranberry and marzipan slices, mince pies, carrot cake, pecan pie and loads more,  the response was fantastic, and the cakes were delicious!

The competition for the best woolly was hard fought between little elf jumpers that only reached the elbows, to penguin jumpers stretching down to the knees, jumpers with lights on, bells on, bobbles on, you name it, someone wore it!!!!!    A big congratulations to Peter Armstrong, who was awarded a bottle of Champagne to celebrate his incredible penguin jumper.  Peter is just finishing his apprenticeship with Impress and will soon become one of our Digital Operators.

Impress Print Services pride ourselves in giving back to charities through various methods so we were delighted to spread the jumper joy and join in by matching every pound raised, which was then matched again by the UK government, trebling donations and making an even bigger difference.

Fundraising totalled £495, so a big thank you to everyone at Impress for supporting Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children.
