6.8 million steps, one incredible team effort, on and off the pitch.
What started in Sunderland on 22 August with the opening match of the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup ended with a spectacular final at Twickenham on 27 September — and in between, our team walked the whole thing. Virtually. 5.2 times.
Over the past few weeks, colleagues at Impress Print Services have been walking and running their way to an incredible total, clocking up steps during commutes, lunch breaks, evening strolls, and weekend wanders. Individually, we moved and together, we covered our own epic UK stadium tour, inspired by the UK rugby tournament route:
Sunderland (Opening match: England vs USA, 22 August) → York → Manchester → Bristol → Exeter → Brighton → Northampton → Twickenham (Final: England wins vs Canada, 27 September)
MILLION STEPS
MILES COVERED
LAPS OF OUR ROUTE
In total, we covered 3,633.7 miles — the alternative equivalent of walking from London to the North Pole and halfway back. Then just as we crossed the virtual finish line, England’s women brought home the win on the real pitch. How brilliant is that?
But this challenge wasn’t just about the miles. It was also about stepping up for something bigger. The response to our foodbank appeal has been just as inspiring, we have a growing collection of donations for our local Walton and Hersham Foodbank.
This is all a brilliant reminder of the power of community, when we move with purpose, support one another, and give back, we make a real difference together.
So, a massive thank you to everyone who walked, tracked, donated and cheered.
