Impressive Jolly Jumpers

Upcycled, hand made Christmas jumpers in memory of John

Christmas Jumper Day is an annual event in the Impress calendar. This year we decided to rename our event ‘John’s Jolly Jumper Day’ in memory of our dear colleague John McCabe who so sadly passed away on 2nd November 2019.

John, our Dispatch Manager was legendary for his DIY Christmas jumpers with a gusto of tinsel, baubles and bells… so we all got creative, upcycled and created our own Jolly Jumpers in ‘true John style!’

John was only diagnosed with cancer this time last year, and what an inspiration he has been to us all with the way he tackled the news head on.  With no feeling sorry for himself, John was determined to help as many people as possible in the short time he had left and to live life to the full with his friends and family.  He was more concerned about the people he was leaving behind than himself.  Kind, thoughtful, compassionate and with a whopping great sense of humour that never left him, John was a true inspiration to us all.

FUNDRAISING FOR PRINCESS ALICE HOSPICE

The Princess Alice Hospice team in Esher provided wonderfully compassionate care and support for John and his family.  Since John passed away in November, staff of Impress Print Services have donated well over £600 to the Hospice and this figure is steadily growing. Donations are still flowing in from our Jolly Jumper Day and our Santa Fun Run and we have further fundraising planned throughout next year.

Anyone wishing to donate a few £££ to support the superb work of  Princess Alice Hospice, can do so via our fundraising event page…
