John and Simon Trek 24.5 miles for the three peaks challenge in the fight against dementia

The Three Peaks Challenge is a well-known phrase amongst the more adventurous. Employees of Impress Print Services, John McCabe and Simon Webb took on this challenge and walked the highest mountains in England within 12 hours.

On 29th July, John, Simon and their team set out to conquer the three highest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales.  This tough one-day challenge with steep climbs and descents saw them summit Pen-y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m).

John said “The difficulty of the challenge shouldn’t be underestimated, it was an amazing experience but one of the hardest things I have ever done, particularly when the mountain terrain got tough and the poor weather came in”.

With friends and family who have suffered with dementia John and Simon chose to support the Alzheimers Society and raised valuable funds totaling £712.50 including £142.50 in gift aid.

Impress Print Services would like to say “Well done” in taking on this challenge.
